RIP Chris Lighty

Lighty, 44 — a longtime manager of 50 Cent, Diddy, Ja Rule and Mariah Carey — was found dead inside his South Riverdale apartment about 11:30 a.m., police sources said.

It appeared he died from a bullet to his head, sources said. A gun was recovered next to his body.

Law enforcement sources said Lighty — who divorced his wife, Veronica, last year — may have been dealing with financial struggles, including owing about $5 million to the IRS.

Musicians began Tweeting about Lighty soon after news of his death spread.

“R.I.P. Chris Lighty,” posted Fat Joe on his Twitter account. “That man saved my life.”

All we can say is that we lost someone close to us in the world Hip-Hop and will never be forgotten and will always be missed.

So… before Beanie Sigel begins his two-year sentence, he was arrested this morning in Pennsylvania following a traffic stop. According to Philly’s local news, the Broadstreet Bully was found with $4,650 cash, a bottle of codeine w/ a scratched off label and several prescription pills wrapped in plastic bags. Upon further search of the vehicle, police found a firearm in the center console.

Pure Hip-Hop is hard to come by from an artist and at such a young age too. Nolan has a love for Hip-Hop that I really think a lot of the younger crowd these days lack.
