Riusuke Fukahori x Goldfish Salvation
Artist Riusuke Fukahori’s meticulously detailed goldfish works make their debut at London’s ICN gallery, in an exhibition titled Goldfish Salvation. With the premise of inspiration funnily enough being his own pet goldfish, Fukahori has created a series of sculpture fused paintings that perfectly capture the essence of fluidity in a goldfish’s movements. The pieces warrant a much closer inspection as their deceiving nature fools the viewer with a detailed, life-like appearance. The carefully constructed pieces are castings of resin with layers of acrylic paint, resulting in a dynamic and unique outcome that bridges the gap between sculpture and painting. Today, January 11, is sadly the last day of this running exhibition, so be sure to visit before it ends.
