It’s always been around, but camo seems to be enjoying an uptick in popularity these days. Perhaps it has something to do with the pattern showing up outside the streetwear landscape and appearing on gentleman’s brogues and pocket squares, but Nike Sportswear is co-opting the iconic design on behalf of the sneakerhead subculture for an upcoming Air Force 1. This recently surfaced image indicates a premium build, featuring a seamless upper finished with a traditional green-and-brown woodland camo, with a leather-lined interior and unique 30th anniversary footbed. The AF1-XXX grid pattern is repeated on a special slide-out box. Stay tuned for word on a release date.
