All those doubters and nay-sayers who denied Tupac's death nearly 16 years ago may have had cause to rejoice and pat themselves on the back this weekend when the late rapper appeared at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Annual Festival alongside fellow west coast rapper, Snoop Dogg. The crowd immediately went into hysterics when a shirtless and Timberland-rockin' Pac began performing "Hail Mary," a song that has been rumored to have never been performed when he was alive. When Snoop Dogg joined him to perform, "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted," the nostalgia and the unbelievability of the situation really began to set in as Pac grabbed his crotch, Crip walked, and interacted with Snoop energetically and effortlessly in rhythm to the pair's 1996 hit.

How is this possible many have asked??? How could Pac have possibly been there? Thanks to Deutsche Telekom (the German incorporation of T-Mobile), the late Tupac Amaru Shakur was able to perform at Coachella in holographic form! Amazing! Coachella patrons went wild, not knowing whether to marvel in the wonders of technology or to rush the stage to hug Pac, realizing that maybe he had not been dead all these years! In fact, we all know that Pac did pass over a decade and a half ago, but many die-hard fans greatly appreciate Deutsche Telekom's effort to bring him back even if it was only for a short set. However, post-Coachella reviews have been mixed. Some call the performance a technological wonder, but there has also been great dissension due to the fact that some have called it "Pac's resurrection." Many Twitter and Facebook patrons have agreed that the realness of Pac's appearance and performance is frightening and misleading while others are overwhelmed and thankful for the opportunity to see the rapper come to life again, artificially or otherwise. Regardless, Pac's talent and passion for his music cannot be argued. The holographic Pac gave a performance that is genuinely reflective of that.
